Born and raised East of San Francisco, California through the Caldecott Tunnel in Pleasant Hill, California. That was a different time for the San Francisco Bay Area. As kids growing up in the suburbs we ran free, played sports in the street, rode our bikes everywhere and “created’ many of the enduring memories that stick with me today. I’m lucky enough to still call my best friends from this time period my best friends today.

From an early age I loved to build plastic models of airplanes, ships and muscle cars. Tinkering and creating seemed to be instilled in me from an early age. Their was something very soothing about sitting in my room glueing these plastic and wood pieces together watching as these forms came together as recognizable "‘things’ from history and contemporary life around me. My love for Architecture and Design really came together in High School paired with endeavoring to create something. Wood Shop, manual Drafting and pre Architecture were my favorite classes in High School; besides World History. After High School I attended Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California and then San Jose State University studying Interior Design.

After College I worked at a South Bay Architecture and Design Firm and eventually transitioned into a career working for some of the most recognizable Technology Companies in the world based in Silicon Valley and San Francisco. My speciality was Planning and Design of interior space and facility management. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this. My love of learning, building relationships and helping to create successful and engaging experiences was extremely gratifying.

I’ve always loved drawing and creating. However, instilled in me, I assume from my parents and friends growing up was the fact that I needed to get a good paying job…….especially, given the fact I was living in the San Francisco Bay Area. So I pursued a more typical “career” that allowed me to buy a house and have a ‘happy life.’ That said, more and more my passion was to draw, paint and create “art”. Some of my fondest memories are of the art classes required for my major in Interior Design. I remember thinking, ‘if I could only be an artist and just create!”. I was able to quell this for many years as my career allowed me to be very creative in numerous ways. Well, the time finally came when I could not hold back the ever increasing creative tide that was overtaking my life. All I could think of was forms, colors, lines and how all of this was bursting from me and needed to be put down on paper, canvass or something else. I needed to create something that was real and perhaps one day be seen by others. I create from feelings, heat, passion and love. I put my feelings on paper or whatever through line, color and form. I love it!
